About Us
We start with the belief that true healing requires more than conversations—it begins in the body.
Our counseling goes beyond traditional therapy by integrating somatic practices, EMDR, and holistic approaches drawn from both Eastern and Western traditions. This unique blend allows us to address trauma at its root, supporting the release of what the body carries while nurturing emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and resilience.
We work with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan, creating a space where your whole self is welcome. Whether you’re navigating trauma, grief, stress, or life transitions, you’ll find care that is compassionate, attuned, and grounded in the belief that your body already holds the wisdom to heal.

As a mom of six and a former teacher, I know what it’s like to carry a lot—emotionally, mentally, and physically. Being part of a blended family has taught me how to navigate complex dynamics with both care and compassion.
I’m also a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in EMDR and somatic-based therapies. My passion is helping individuals heal from trauma, chronic stress, and relational wounds by working with the body’s natural wisdom. I focus on nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and building resilience so that clients feel supported at every step.
I believe deeply in the body’s innate ability to heal itself when given the space, tools, and support to do so. My goal is to create a compassionate, trauma-informed space where healing feels possible and wholeness can unfold.

As an American-born Mexican raised in a large military family, my life has always been full of movement, resilience, and strong connections. I’ve experienced both the joys and the hardships of family life, being a mother of four, learning patience and perseverance along the way.
My work as an emergency department social worker and child-wellbeing investigator showed me how deeply people long to be seen and supported. Those experiences, paired with my own journey, taught me that healing begins with connection—and it’s within our shared humanity that we find the strength to grow.

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” This quote by George Bernard Shaw has guided both my life and my work as a therapist. I believe therapy is a space where clients can build the confidence and tools to shape the life they truly want.
With training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Synergetic Play Therapy, I combine cognitive, creative, and somatic approaches to support healing. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they uncover resilience, move through challenges, and create a fuller sense of self.

I often joke that I fell into this field because I never set out to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. In fact, being a counselor, therapist, or guide of any kind, never crossed my mind. But, I’m deeply grateful that life led me here.
My early work began with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated clients, an experience that challenged me and sparked my passion for understanding complex trauma and intergenerational patterns. That passion led me into a doctoral program, where I focused my research on how trauma is passed down from parents to their children.
As an EMDR and Brainspotting therapist, my priority is to create a safe, compassionate space where the nervous system can finally rest. My goal is to support clients in moving out of survival mode and into deeper healing, resilience, and self-trust through brain-based, trauma-informed care.

“Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.” — The Grateful Dead
Throughout my own healing journey, I realized that words alone—simply talking about patterns, pain, and healing—were not enough. That understanding shaped my path as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, where I now specialize in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and EMDR.
These gentle but powerful approaches help access unresolved trauma, stress, and emotions that are often stored in the body and expressed through overwhelming thoughts, emotions, behaviors, or physical sensations.
In our work together, we’ll listen to your body’s innate wisdom to calm these responses and create safety as you process and integrate lingering pain. My goal is to support lasting change—helping you move beyond survival and into deeper resilience, connection, and healing.
